CP NewsAlert: B.C. RCMP issue Amber Alert for two young children

PRINCE RUPERT — Update: The two children who were the subject of an amber alert issued early this morning have been safely located and are now in care.

Late last night, Terrace RCMP were advised that the children had been taken by a woman with Mounties determining the children were in imminent danger leading to the amber alert issued just before 1am. this morning.

Within an hour-and-a-half of the alert being issued, tips were received and the children were located in Burns Lake. The woman was taken into custody with police saying the issuance of the alert played a critical role in ensuring the safe recovery of the children. The investigation remains ongoing.

Earlier: Mounties in northwestern British Columbia have issued a provincewide Amber Alert for two children.
