Fibre arts coming to PG
PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George will play host to 400 artists from Canada And the United States, all of whom are artists in the area of fibre arts, which covers everything from spinning raw wool into yarn, to weaving that yarn into fabric and much more.
“We are excited to be offering this diverse conference program that will include artists from California and the Coastal States all the way up to Western Canadian Provinces,” says Laura Fry, conference co-producer. “We know that visitors will love Prince George and all the amenities the city has to offer alongside this opportunity to experience this very unique area of Northern British Columbia.”
All the events will be located downtown at the Conference and Civic Centre, the Prince George Public Library, the Two Rivers Gallery and the Courtyard Marriott. All-in-all there will be 18 workshops and over 70 seminars over five days in June.
