Ontario Premier Doug Ford tones down rhetoric in war of words with Donald Trump
TORONTO — Ontario Premier Doug Ford has toned down his rhetoric in the war of words with U.S. President Donald Trump.
Ford is making the rounds on U.S. media after he and Trump traded insults on Monday amid escalating trade tensions.
Ford told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on Tuesday that he thinks the temperature between the politicians should come down.
“It got a little personal yesterday between the president and myself, but I want to make a deal, a good deal for the American people, a good deal for the Canadians, and we’re the two greatest countries in the world,” Ford said.
