Prince George school trustee Shar McCrory seeks re-election in October vote
PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George school trustee Shar McCrory has announced she is seeking another term on the School District 57 Board of Education in the upcoming local government election on October 17.
McCrory was elected to the board in a 2023 by-election and says she wants to continue advocating for students, strong public education, and stable governance within the district.
Prior to joining the SD57 board, McCrory served more than eight years as a trustee with the Coast Mountains School District, including time as board chair. She said the priorities that guided her campaign three years ago remain just as important today.
“When I ran in 2023, I talked about supporting students and staff, improving transparency, strengthening relationships, and making sure the different needs of learners are reflected in our decisions,” McCrory said in a news release. “Those things still matter to me.”
