A tribute to the late ‘Penny Slim’ Clarence Boudreau

Born in 1931, the late Clarence Boudreau perhaps better known as ‘Penny Slim’ defines what it means to be a storyteller. Boudreau wrote countless songs and books about his time growing up in Penny, BC east of Prince George where he lived for the better part of eight decades. In 2024, Boudreau was honoured with a Jeanne Clarke History Award in the Service category for his work as an author summarizing the history of northern British Columbia.
