Carrier pledges business-friendly approach in Prince George mayoral bid
PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George mayoral candidate Marc Carrier says his decades in the trades have convinced him that City Hall needs to become more responsive to businesses, residents and taxpayers.
The longtime plumber and business owner says reducing red tape, improving transparency and involving residents in major decisions would be among his top priorities if elected mayor.
Carrier argues the city needs to do a better job working with the business community and making it easier for entrepreneurs to operate in Prince George.
“We have to make it way easier for business to open in this town,” Carrier said during a recent interview. “We have to talk to them more, involve them more, and bring transparency to the budget.”
