Election sign vandalism frustrates Civic candidates
PRINCE GEORGE – As municipal election campaigns ramp up across Prince George, candidates are once again dealing with a familiar challenge: vandalized election signs.
Whether it’s a civic election, a provincial campaign or a federal vote, election signs have long been a visible part of the democratic process. They line major roads, intersections and public spaces, giving candidates an opportunity to introduce themselves to voters and build public awareness.
But while signs are intended to promote participation in the electoral process, some candidates say those same signs have become targets for vandalism.
