Thompson seeks third term as Robson Valley trustee
DUNSTER — Longtime School District 57 trustee Bob Thompson is seeking a third term representing the Robson Valley, saying he still has unfinished business and would welcome one final opportunity to serve the region’s students and families.
The 68-year-old incumbent will face challenger Lianne Abbott in this year’s election, marking the first contested race for the seat since Thompson was acclaimed in the last election.
Thompson said he welcomes the competition, describing it as an important part of the democratic process. While he hopes voters return him to the board, he says he will support whichever candidate is chosen by residents.
“I hope I get back in just because I love the work so much,” Thompson said. “It’s a real privilege to be in a position to help the district run and plan its progress forward.”
