Janjua pitches transparency, growth and faster permits in city council bid
PRINCE GEORGE — As part of CKPG News’ continuing coverage of the 2026 Prince George municipal election, city council candidate Jesi Janjua says fiscal accountability, public safety and economic development will be key priorities if elected to council.
Born and raised in Prince George, Janjua said in an interview with CKPG Lead News Anchor Adam Berls, his decision to run stems from a desire to help reverse what he sees as a decline in the city’s direction while building on its strengths.
“I’ve seen this city through the ebbs and flows of it,” Janjua said. “I was born and raised here. I’ve got roots here. I have a beautiful family, a great job, and I want to be a part of helping this city grow.”
