Rainbow Park set for growth
PRINCE GEORGE – A major upgrade is coming to one of Prince George’s busiest parks as construction gets underway on a new year-round washroom facility at Rainbow Park.
The City of Prince George says the project will provide three accessible flushable washrooms in a new insulated building designed to serve park users throughout the year. The facility will be located near the centre of the park and will remain available alongside the existing outhouses.
Rainbow Park has become a popular four-season destination, drawing visitors for winter sledding, summer disc golf, community events, weddings, and other celebrations. City officials say the new building is intended to improve comfort, accessibility, and public health standards while supporting the growing demand for year-round recreation.
