Conservatives sweep Prince George ridings, Diane Black wins Nechako Lakes

PRINCE GEORGE —CKPG News is projecting a Conservative sweep across north-central B.C., with all three Prince George ridings going to the party along with Nechako Lakes.

The Conservatives are projected to win Prince George-North Cariboo, Prince George-Mackenzie and Prince George-Valemount, completing a clean sweep of the three Prince George ridings.

Meanwhile, Conservative Diane Black has won Nechako Lakes, defeating NDP candidate Jessie Gervais and Independent Clint Black.

The Nechako Lakes race shifted during the evening. Gervais jumped out to a very early lead before Black moved in front as more results were reported and ultimately claimed the riding.
