UPDATE: Prince George parolee apprehended in Alberta

PRINCE GEORGE – Update: Mounties say LaRiviere was apprehended today in Grand Prairie, Alberta.

The Prince George RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance in this case.

Earlier: The Prince George RCMP are requesting the public’s help in locating a man wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant.

On Saturday February 2nd, a Canada Wide Warrant for Being Unlawfully at Large was issued for 31 year old Tal Kalum LaRiviere.  The arrest warrant was issued after he failed to meet the conditions of his release by missing curfew at his designated residence in Prince George, BC. All efforts to locate LaRiviere have been negative so far.  Police are now asking for the public’s help in locating him.  He is described as:

-Metis male
-188 cm (6’2″)
-88 kg (194 lbs)
-Brown hair
-Brown eyes

LaRiviere has connections in Vernon, BC and Grimshaw, Alberta and may be travelling in Northern Alberta or Northern BC.  He is believed to be driving a blue 1994 GMC 1500 pick-up bearing BC licence plate MY9880.  If he or his vehicle are located, RCMP are asking they be contacted immediately.  LaRiviere is not to be confronted as he is considered violent.
