CKPG News Recognized For Excellence At RTDNA Awards

VANCOUVER – CKPG News is celebrating an award from the Radio, Television and Digital News Directors of Canada.  The news special titled ‘Cougar Tracks – Sam Ruopp’ won the Dave Rogers award during the RTDNA awards dinner Saturday in Vancouver. 

The 30-minute special was a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at (then) Cougars captain Sam Ruopp on a game day.  It aired in February 2017. 

In accepting the award, producer Cris Monetta thanked The Prince George Cougars and especially Ruopp for allowing fans to see into the private life of a junior hockey player.
