PRINCE GEORGE – Training a horse is known to be fun, but sometimes it also can be quite a challenge. Local horse trainer Myrna Theissen is introducing an unfamiliar training style, where the horse does not wear a bridle. Leaving the horse free to leave at any moment. Liberty horse training is the ability to communicate with your horse effectively, create a partnership and relationship with the animal so it would want to work with you. According to Myrna Theissen training, a horse to accept the liberty training can vary with each animal but the outcome can be rewarding for both human and horse. The public will have a chance to see a demonstration of liberty on June 9th at Crossroads Ranch. Entrance will be by donation. Money raised will go to the Prince George Hospice House.
