SD57 and McLeod Lake Sign MOU

The McLeod Lake Indian Band and School District 57 have re-committed to a partnership that had lapsed over the past couple of years.

The parties have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to set out the responsibilities in ensuring students in McLeod Lake receive the best possible education.

“It’s an important document to outline that we are providing quality education to their children and making sure that we are able to incorporate their culture and learnings into their education as well,” explains Tim Bennett, Chair for the Board of Education.

Students from McLeod Lake are transported to Mackenzie to attend school in that community.
