Crossfit Competitor To Help Spruce Kings Muscle Up

The Spruce Kings have formed a partnership with a local gym that’s sure to bring some muscle to the team looking to build on their historic season. The Kings announced today Crossfit athlete John Gibson will be the team’s new strength and conditioning coach for the upcoming campaign. Gibson owns Gibson’s Landing Athletics in Prince George and competes at various Crossfit meets around North America. The trainer is also a Spruce Kings alum, having played with the team in the 2009-2010 season. Gibson played 138 games between the Kings and a pair of Ontario Junior A Clubs. In that time he netted 13 goals and 43 assists. Gibson and representatives from the team all echo a similar sentiment of excitement for Gibson to be rejoining the Kings family.
