UNBC Business Students Making Waves

PRINCE GEORGE – Students from the UNBC’s business program recently competed at JDC West, a business and marketing competition that features teams from 12 different business schools across Western Canada. Which can present some challenges.

JDC West is the largest student-run business competition in Canada. The teams involved in the competition take part in events relating to athletics, entrepreneurship and finance among others. For UNBC’s team, the biggest hurdle is the size of their talent pool. UNBC only has 400 students to draw from. In comparison, UBC Sauder has 4000.

That gap in size hasn’t hampered UNBC though, who at this year’s JDC West event at SFU won three podium finishes, including a first-place finish in the charity dollars raised category where they raised $166,236.
