VILLAGE OF FRASER LAKE – The building of the liquefied natural gas line is estimated to create thousands of well-paying jobs for British Columbians.

Many of them seeking those jobs will be needing accommodations. The Village of Fraser Lake and some neighbouring First Nations communities have joined forces to help establish an 11 hundred person workers camp in their region.

The hope is the workers will bring economic and population growth to the area.  The plan is to build the workers camp 6 kilometres east of Fraser Lake in Lajac.

Construction is scheduled to begin this spring and be ready for the pipeline workers arriving in September.
