Hart fire causes $250K in damages

PRINCE GEORGE — Two people living on the Hart escaped injury after a fire caused extensive damage to their home early this morning.

Prince George Fire Rescue says 15 firefighters from three halls responded to the blaze just after 12 a.m. in the 4400 block of Weisbrod Road.

Assistant Fire Chief Scobie says crews arrived to find flames coming out of the roof. He says firefighters were able to knock the fire down but there was still extensive damage to the structure.

Scobie says the cause of the fire is under investigation and estimates damages at $250000.
