PRINCE GEORGE – The Elks Community Hall has moved locations and were celebrating on Sunday with a “Craft and Merchant Fall Fair.”

Back in September 2017 The Elks of Canada purchased their new location at 663 Douglas Street and have spent the last year doing renovations. They have held a few private funerals and celebrations of life but are now ready to open their doors to the public.

The “Elks of Canada” supports programs related to hearing and speech all across Canada. Here in Prince George, they want to host as many events as they can to fundraise and engage with the community.

After leaving their old location downtown, Margaret Jackson, a member of the Elks of Canada is excited to see what this new space has to offer.

“The future is friendly and it’s so exciting. The opportunities are endeless. The kitchen is there for people who want to teach some food and cooking and what can I say, it’s just an amazing transition from what it used to be to what it is now and the dreams that are coming through.”

The community can expect many more events and fairs in the near future at the new Prince George Elks Community Hall.
