More Money & Volunteers Needed For Kettle Campaign
PRINCE GEORGE – The Salvation Army is in need of a Christmas miracle, as seven days remain for the annual Christmas Kettle campaign.
So far, they’ve been able to raise just over $132,000, but that’s only 52 percent of the fundraising goal for this year.
Volunteer turn-out has also been a struggle for the team, with 24 percent saying that they would be unavailable this year.
Bill Glasgow, Donor Relations and Fundraising Coordinator says, “The statistic we are most concerned with is that 25 percent of our volunteer base has not responded to our numerous calls and emails. This means only 51 percent of our volunteer base is out there ringing the bells this year.”
