Wildfire smoke blows in from Alberta

The BC Wildfire service confirmed that the haze you might’ve seen on your drive home is in fact from the High Level fire in Alberta. Firefighting personnel were sent to the neighbouring province to combat the flames

A man is dead after an accident on Highway 16 near Purden that happened just after 10 am Friday. The highway will remain closed until around 7.
