After two impressive performances seven days apart, UNBC Timberwolves midfielder Owen Stewart has earned himself a Canada West Third Star honour. The Prince George local picked up a pair of assists in the TWolves 2-nil win over the UVic Vikes two weekends ago and then on Friday, Stewart opened the scoring and assisted the game winner during UNBC’s 3-2 win over the Mount Royal University Cougars. The four points in two games has rocketed O-Stew to Timberwolves leading scorer and third star of the CanWest this week. After Fridays game, Stewart, the accounting major, says his more calculated approach recently and the trust in his teammates is to thank for his recent contributions.
