Receding water levels

PRINCE GEORGE — Residents of Farrell Street can breathe a little easier tonight.
This because the City of Prince George has rescinded the evacuation alert for area residents near Paddlewheel Park due to receding water levels in the Fraser River.
The BC River Forecast Centre is forecasting that water levels will remain below flood level in the coming days after approaching that threshold over the weekend and prompting the alert.
Despite lifting the alert, the City says it will continue to monitor river levels.
