McBride- The debris flood incident on Mountain View Road at Willox Creek near McBride BC continues to be monitored and assessed by the Regional District in conjunction with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, Emergency Management BC and other Ministries. Residents in the Mountain View Road area west of the hazard site are advised to continue to shelter in place. Residents are reminded that hazards are still present in the evacuation order area. For the safety and well being of the public and the neighbourhood, public access to the area is not permitted.A water and ground emergency transportation service has been established to provide residents west of the Willox Creek debris flood area with a means to access essential services within the community to support them while they shelter in place. Service will commence today (July 9). Further details are available on the Regional District website at www.rdffg.bc.
