PRINCE GEORGE – UPDATE: Unfortunately CKPG News will not be hosting its 5 o’clock show at its rescheduled time of 6 p.m. due to technical difficulties brought on by a lightning strike just after 4 p.m. this afternoon.

Traffic is once again moving through Prince Rupert St. in Prince George’s downtown.

EARLIER: A lightning strike caused a temporary power outage at the CKPG News station this afternoon at approximately 4:14 p.m.

The power outage shut down the network, and the show was originally rescheduled for 6:00 p.m.

A second power outage at approximately 5:26 p.m. has now cancelled the 6:00 show.

There is a power line down behind Books and Company. Prince Rupert Street is currently shut down.
