Northern Ice Sports Announces First Private Ice Facility in P.G.

Northern ICE Sports is pleased to announce the first private ice facility in Prince George. They are situating a 2/3 size ice rink within the Prince George Golf and Curling club, which will provide access to an amazing multi-sport facility that includes curling, golf, climbing and now rink sports. Further, the club has a restaurant and lounge with easy access to the Prince George Tennis club.

Northern ICE Sports has several activities planned for 2021.

First is the youth option that combines Shawn Gendron leading a Power Skating and Hockey/Ringette Development ice time with a fast paced 3 on 3 (or 4 on 4) weekly game. Youth will have the opportunity to to learn new skills and then use them in a fast and exciting game.  These options are intended as complimentary but can be signed up for independently as well. As Covid restrictions begin to loosen Northern Ice will also offer 3 on 3 game play opportunities for all ages.

Northern ICE Sports intends to provide the community with ice for 10 months a year and is excited to offer a variety of dry land opportunities from spring through fall.  They will be expanding their offerings to include working with partners on multi-sport camps, hockey specific training, either in group and individual settings, and any other offerings the community is looking for.
