Two arrested following early morning B & E in Fort St.James

FORT ST. JAMES — An adult male and a female youth were arrested following an early morning break and enter in Fort St. James.

North District RCMP say it happened just after midnight today (July 13) at a local business in the 400 block of Stuart Drive West.

Police say a window was smashed and some of the store’s property was taken. RCMP reviewed the security footage and could see two people gain entry into the store, steal merchandise and immediately leave.

Police say the security video along with other evidence found at the scene led police to the suspects.

RCMP say an adult male and female youth were arrested but later released pending a future court date. The investigation is ongoing.
