PRINCE GEORGE -36-year-old Christin West was found murdered in her home early Saturday morning. Prince George RCMP, confirmed Tuesday afternoon she was reported missing on August 6th.

” So, I can confirm that Prince George RCMP received a missing person’s report of Christin West at approximately 8 p.m. on August 6th” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper of the Prince George RCMP.

Christin’s mother and sisters were the ones to find her, she had been in her apartment for some time. The family said the property manager wouldn’t allow them access, so they were forced to break in through an open window.

” We had been going down every day looking for her.” Said Beatrice West, Christin’s mother ” On Friday I reported her missing because it was not like her to completely stay away and not say nothing.” “We seen [sic] one of her windows halfway open. We got out [of the car] and went to look. We got the screen off, then the windows and then we opened the curtains and we just smelled, and I was in denial because Ashley said I smell her and I said no, that’s not her, that’s food she left on the table.”

Police arrested 36-year old Dennis Daniel Gladue Saturday, and the B.C. The Prosecution Service has approved one count of Second Degree Murder against him.

On Monday, Family, friends, and those who knew Christin gathered outside of the RCMP detachment Monday evening, to remember and honor Christin. They crowed also wanted to honor those missing and murdered Indigenous women, who have yet to be found.

As for Christin, her family will miss her deeply and say they want nothing but justice for her death. They are glad that the man who is accused of murdering their sister, daughter, and friend is now behind bars.

The man who is charged with Christin’s murder is in Jail and is facing charges of second-degree murder. The court date has not been set at this time, however, he remains behind bars.
