Wildfire closes Highway 97 in Pine Pass

PRINCE GEORGE – Highway 97 near Powder King has been closed in both directions due to what the BC Wildfire Service is calling an aggressive wildfire.

The wildfire was discovered late this afternoon, and the BCWS says air tankers along with ground personnel are on their way to the fire.

There is no estimated reopening time for the highway as of yet.
