COVID-19 cases continue to drop in BC

NORTHERN BC- After seeing 134 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend, Northern Health has the second fewest active cases out of all health authorities in BC. The North now has 398 active cases, only two more than Vancouver Coastal. Three of BC’s 11 new deaths were in Northern Health.

Over the weekend, 970 new cases were reported across BC:

• Nov. 26-27: 389 new cases
• Nov. 27-28: 309 new cases
• Nov. 28-29: 272 new cases

The provincial case counts continue to drop as there are now 2,882 active cases in BC. Of the active cases, 303 individuals are currently in hospital and 115 are in ICU. The provincial daily case counts remained in the 300’s for all of last week, and have just recently dipped to the 200’s.
