B.C. couple wins lotto 6/49 jackpot

VANCOUVER – A BC couple has won $6,000,000 from the March 16,2022 draw.

Chau Ming (Lana) Lueng and her husband (Joery) Yui Fai Leung have been playing the same Lotto 6/49 numbers for over three decades. The numbers are inspired by the birthdays of family members. That persistence finally paid off with last week’s draw. Joery and Lana have been buying tickets from the same shop for years. Lucky Mart on Nanaimo and East 7th in Vancouver.

The couple’s son was the first to know that the couple had the winning numbers. He saw that someone in the Vancouver area had won the jackpot so he checked the numbers for himself. After a quick text to his father with no response the son left his room and confronted his parents with the information.

At first, Joery assumed his son was playing a joke on him but after a quick scan of the ticket on his phone the realization hit.
