Prince George – The BC Conservatives are urging the B.C. government to reject calls for a province-wide ban on School Liaison Officers from the B.C. Civil Liberties Association and Policing-Free Schools Canada. Plus Northern Health is preparing to relocate services from the Northern Interior Health Unit and the John G. McKenzie Family Practice Centre to Parkwood Mall. This move will allow for construction as part of UHNBC’s expansion. And the City of Prince George has announced that a section of deteriorating watermain beneath Southridge Avenue will undergo a relining process throughout July as part of a $4-million capital project intended to improve reliability and reduce the risk of future watermain failures.
