Quesnel city council to get 4.4% pay raise

QUESNEL — The city council in Quesnel will be getting a pay raise next year after council met on Tuesday.
Quesnel city council approved a stipend increase of four percent for the 2023 fiscal year. The increase that was initially slated for next year, was 7.7 percent, and was based on policy set back in 2019.
The 4.4 percent raise will come into effect in the new year and the last pay raise that the mayor and council received was 3.5 percent on January 1st, 2022.
