Fork in the Road surging into food truck success

May 26, 2023 | 4:49 PM

PRINCE GEORGE — In just their second season, the food truck next to the Pineview store is surging in popularity.

‘Fork in the Road’ was created after a passion turned into a business by chef Andy Tassie.

Tassie spent the last two decades as a chef in food establishments across Prince George, including local hotels and restaurants. Andy’s daughter now works with him at ‘Fork in the Road’ learning the tricks of the trade from her father.

As for the signature meal at the site of Pineview’s terrific take-out?

“I’m quite a fan of the hot chick. It’s quite nice. It’s like a natural hot chicken sandwich,” said Tassie.

Throughout Friday afternoon, the foot traffic to the food joint was steady with everyone excited to get some good grub from the restaurant on wheels.

‘Fork in the Road’ is open from Thursday to Sunday from 11-7 each day until the fall when it gets too cold to operate.
