Move to Cure ALS walk taking place Sunday

Jun 23, 2023 | 10:41 AM

PRINCE GEORGE — The 2023 Move to Cure ALS walk is taking place this Sunday, supporting those with ALS during ALS Awareness Month.

The Move to Cure ALS is the annual signature fundraising event for the ALS Society of British Columbia, which brings together family and friends in support of ALS during the month of June at various locations around B.C. and the Yukon, including here in Prince George.

The goal is to end ALS through creating a world class ALS Centre at UBC. 100% net proceeds to the ALS Society of BC will remain in BC to support patient services programs and research.

Here in Prince George, the 2023 Move to Cure ALS walk will start at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park, with registration starting at 10 am and the walk beginning at 11 am. A silent auction and barbeque will be held between 11 am and 1 pm.

To find out more information on the Move to Cure fundraiser and on how to donate, the ALS Society of B.C.’s website is linked HERE.
