PRINCE GEORGE — Small business owners in northwestern B-C who suffered losses during last year’s devastating wildfire season can now apply for additional assistance.
Eligible business owners and not-for-profit organizations with fewer than 50 employees can receive up to 20-thousand dollars through the Canadian Red Cross’s Support for Small Business Program.
Funding comes from 10-million dollars provided to the Red Cross by the province for wildfire recovery efforts.
This program is based on similar initiatives used to support businesses in the Cariboo and Grand Forks following the wildfires and floods in 2017 and 2018.
