A bird takes the blame for the outage

PRINCE GEORGE – According to a BC Hydro official, a crow is taking the blame for late afternoon power outage on Tuesday. The bird landed on some electrical equipment at the Foothills substation and caused the equipment to fault. The bird caused a power outage to 300 customers. These customers were located in the bowl area stretching from 15th Avenue to Vance Road. No word yet if the bird caused any more longtime equipment damage. The power was out for less than half an hour.
