Defending BCMML Champs drop opener to Blazers

It was banner-raising day for the Cariboo Cougars Saturday at Kin 1 as they celebrated a Championship which they won a year ago.

Once the banner was raised, the 2019-2020 season began for the Cougars, who got off to a roaring start and hopped out to a 3-0 lead on the Thompson Blazers.

However, it would be the Blazers, who would get the last laugh.

They would net four unanswered goals including the overtime winner from Ethan Sanders to secure the 4-3 overtime win.

The two clubs will collide once again Sunday at Kin 1 with puck drop at 10:30 a.m.
