Pharmacists warning of difficult flu season this year

With it officially Fall now, some pharmacists in B.C are warning of a difficult flu season.

This is due to the potential vaccine delays along with an early and aggressive start to the flu season in Australia.

How the flu season is in Australia is usually a good indicator of the severity of how it will be in Canada.

According to a recent survey, 36% of B.C residents do not plan on getting a flu shot this year.

However, 83% say they are aware of the flu vaccine and how it helps prevent hospitalizations and even saves lives.
