The Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum held the first day of its annual Halloween event over the weekend.

“The Final Stop” is a free event, with a donation of a non-perishable food item and has something for residents of all ages.

From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. the Museum features trick or treating, a pumpkin patch, and the entire museum decorated with Halloween decorations for residents to enjoy.

“The early event is family-friendly. So we encourage kids, parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles all to come out,” shared Event Coordinator Nadine Fieber.

Then in the evening, the Museum hosts its haunted train tours from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

“In the evenings we recommend people 10 and up, but it is the parents’ discretion. In the evening we have everything we have in the morning, but then we also have our haunted train tours.”

Halloween is one of the biggest events for the Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum and once again they topped their previous year’s event.

The last day of the “Final Stop” is Saturday, October 26.
