PWB employee celebrates golden anniversary
PRINCE GEORGE — Quite the buzz at the Courtyard Marriott Prince George over the weekend as Pacific Western Brewing celebrated a long-serving employee.
Close to 100 employees and some local dignitaries – including MP Todd Doherty, MLA Shirley Bond and Mayor Lyn Hall – celebrated Brewery Manager Tom Leboe’s 50 years of service.
Raised in McBride, Leboe began his career “unintentionally” at the brewery in 1969.
Leboe says he was in Prince George visiting a brewery employee who offered him a job. Though he wasn’t looking for employment he accepted the offer and the rest is history.
