PRINCE GEORGE — This weekend was the biggest event of the year for the French Canadian Association of Prince George. The 35th FrancoFUN wrapped up after a full week of celebrations, showcasing just how prominent the francophone community is in PG.

More important than the festivities, however, is how it showcases french culture in the city and introduce francophones to available resources. The French Canadian Association of Prince George has been around since 1960 organizing socio-cultural and educational activities and connecting people to any resources they need both within the city and province.

The Francophone community in Prince George has a rich history dating back to the fur trade and Fort George. It continues to grow not only from within Canada, but also from other French-speaking countries around the world.
