A hard fought 2-1 loss for the Cats to the T-Birds
Kent, Washington–Despite a hard fought battle, the Prince George Cougars fell short, losing 2-1 to the Seattle Thunderbirds yesterday (Sunday) afternoon in Kent, Washington.
Ilijah Colina scored the long Cougars’ goal on a power-play in the third period. Prince George pressed in the third period, outshooting the Thunderbirds, but couldn’t come up with a game-tying goal.
The Cougars had the goalie pulled for the extra attacker inside the final minute of regulation and came close to an equalizer, but Cole Moberg’s point shot narrowly missed the net.
The (16-28-3-4) Cougars head home for a pair of games against two Central Division rivals on the Family Day long weekend.
