BC Coroners Service needs you
PRINCE GEORGE – The BC Coroner’s Services wants you. There is a new position has come open to become a Regional Coroner.
“It’s one of the two positions in the North region that is involved in taking over all of the investigations that happen in the region,” explains Donita Kuzma, Regional Director of the Northern Region. “Community Coroners attend the scenes and then one of these two people in the office take over the investigation.”
It’s the Coroner’s job to investigate all unexpected or unnatural deaths. It takes a unique person to fill that role, as Coroner Danny Scoular knows well.
“And our goal through our investigation is to answer five questions,” explains Scoular. “We want to know who has died, where they’ve died, when they’ve died, how they’ve died and by what means.”
