PRINCE GEORGE – It’s been one year since the Lheidli T’enneh levelled a lawsuit against Enbridge and West Coast Energy.
On 9 October 2018, a 36-inch Enbridge pipeline transporting natural gas ruptured about 13 km northeast of Prince George, resulting in a fire.
Four months later, the First Nation directly affected, launched a lawsuit.
They cite safety concerns with the pipeline and want the pipeline out of their territory. According to a First Nation official, the lawsuit continues.
