Maser’s hat trick propels Cats to wild win

PRINCE GEORGE — The penultimate home game of the 2019-2020 season for the Prince George Cougars was a wild one. A 5-4 win for the Cats over the Vancouver Giants.

Leading the way offensively for PG was captain Josh Maser, who notched a hat trick. Jonny Hooker and Majid Kaddoura also scored for the Cougars. Meanwhile, starter Taylor Gauthier also got on the scoresheet with an assist to go along with his 38 save performance in the win.

Prince George went 2/3 on the powerplay, while the Giants scored twice on four man-advantage opportunities.

The final Cougars home game of the regular season is Saturday against Vancouver. Puck drop is 7pm at the CN Centre.
