PRINCE GEORGE — As more and more of BC begins restarting and reopening, one of the most popular summer spots for locals is getting a boost, farmers markets.

It was previously ordered only food would be allowed to be sold at markets but now, other non-essential merchandise can as well. Also, gathering to eat food and enjoy the spoils you pick up at the market is allowed, following similar guidelines seen in retail stores and restaurants.

For the Prince George Farmers Market it’s seen as a major boost and is actually changing some of their plans.

“We’ll have both the indoor market and the street market open. The vendors will be limited due to social distancing and whatnot,” explained Martin Krell, President of the PG Farmers Market.
