Both Downtown Farmers Market’s will be open this weekend
PRINCE GEORGE—The City of Prince George is providing permits that allow both Prince George Farmers Market’s to return on Saturday’s.
The Wilson Square Community Market has an occupancy permit to operate on Third Ave. between George St. and Queensway, which was granted to them in late April. The market has been operating since May 2.
The Prince George Farmers Market Association will resume this coming Saturday, June 6, inside the Farmers Market building on 1310 3rd Ave. as well as on Quebec St. between 2nd and 3rd Ave.
Farmers Market’s were deemed essential by the B.C. government, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, and are expected to comply with hygienic practices and physical distancing to reduce the potential transmission of COVID-19. Both markets have developed plans to ensure physical distancing between vendors and patrons, and are capping attendance at 50.
