Highway 16 reopens following single-vehicle collision

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: One man has been transported to hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. Meanwhile, the scene has been cleared and the highway has re-opened. The investigation is continuing.

Earlier: A single-vehicle collision this afternoon has closed Highway 16 west of Prince George.

It occurred just before 3 p.m. near Beaverley Road West. First responders are currently on scene and police expect the highway to be closed for hours.

The investigation is ongoing. Witnesses are asked to call police.
